You may have friends or family that have started eliminating all dairy from their diets. For some, lactose intolerance may make eating or drinking dairy products actually painful from causing gas and bloating. Still others quit using anything that comes from cows for environmental reasons. Better digestion, better skin, and avoiding hormones and antibiotics are all good reasons that some decide to live a dairy-free life. Fortunately there are substitutions like nut milks and oat milk that do a good job of replacing cow’s milk for most uses, making it not too difficult to give up dairy.
