How to Make Bellisari's Goat Cheese & Fig Stuffed French Toast

Stuffed french toast is a staple in our house. We tried something a little different this morning. Goat Cheese & Fig Stuffed French is perfect for a late brunch or midnight snack. Make sure you choose a crusty loaf of bread for this decadant dish!

Serves 4

Ingredients
1 loaf of thick Italian bread
4 tablespoons Bellisari's Blistered Jalapeno & Fig Spread
4 ounces goat cheese, grumbled
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
splash of milk
pinch of salt
4 tablespoons oil
cinnamon and maple syrup for serving

Directions
Slice your bread into 2" thick slices and cut a slit in the middle of each piece.
In a small bowl, combined Bellisari's Blistered Jalapeno & Fig Spread and goat cheese until smooth. 
Whisk together eggs, vanilla extract, milk and salt in a shallow bowl that is wide enough to fit your bread slices. Dip all sides of your stuffed bread slices in the egg mixture.
Heat a large skillet with oil to medium high heat. After coating your slices of bread with the egg mixture, place the bread on the hot skillet and cook each side of the bread until all the sides are golden brown (this includes the top and bottom of the pieces).
Serve with butter and syrup! Enjoy!

This recipe takes about six hours, but the prep is less than 20 minutes. Grab your crockpot, add pork shoulder, once can of ginger beer, onions and spices -- cook it on low for 6 hours, drain some of the liquid and mix it all together with one jar of Bellisari's Saigon Street Sauce.
