Screaming Ghost Donuts

Halloween decorations surround a plate of homemade donuts. There is a skeleton head printout on a candle and a black and white striped pumpkin in that background, just out of focus. Further behind there is a silver, glittered pumpkin and the table is covered in fake spider-webs. There are four donuts in the white plate in the foreground. They have holes cut for eyes and a mouth to look as though they are screaming. They are sprinkled with powdered sugar.

Ingredients:
1 tube refrigerated biscuit dough (or cinnamon rolls)
Oil for frying
Powdered sugar
1 jar Bellisari's Blistered Jalapeno & Fig Spread

Directions:
Heat oil over medium heat to 350-375ºF. Roll each piece of dough into an oval shape and cut 2 eyes and a mouth with small cookie cutters. Carefully place each face into the oil (don't drop it in, you don't want any splashing!). Fry until golden then flip and repeat. Remove from oil and place on cooling rack. Once cool, use a sifter to sprinkle powdered sugar on top. Dip into Blistered Jalapeno & Fig spread or use a food-safe syringe and insert into the donuts to create a filling.
