Spring Break in Style

Spring Break!! I’m so happy to be thinking of warmer weather and spending some relaxing time with my boys and other family and friends. Hopefully, you’re looking forward to Spring Break too. It doesn’t really matter if you’re trying different metro parks, camping, or heading to a beach somewhere. For me, just spending quality time with the people I love is what I truly look forward to; the venue doesn’t really matter. However, in my Bellisari opinion, the food does! 😋😆 Just because you’re traveling or packing food for a sports game, taking food on the go doesn’t mean your options are limited to boring, plain, or common foods. This year, pack your cooler with any or all of these great ideas, and you’ll feel like you’re doing Spring Break in style!

Why not start with a DIY travel charcuterie board? Many of the things that go well on a charcuterie board are perfect for taking in a cooler and picnic basket. Different cheeses and cured meats that you normally like as charcuterie are easy to arrange on a tray along with olives, nuts, grapes, figs, crackers, etc. once you get to wherever you’ll be having your meal or snacks. Add our handy Bellisari’s 4 oz. jars as dips, and you’re sure to impress whoever you’re with!

Now these are what you call sandwich goals! The days of PB&J and bologna sandwiches can go when you layer bacon, brie, arugula and Bellisari's Blistered Jalapeño & Fig Spread on your favorite bread. Soft or toasted to perfection, this sandwich definitely takes your picnic game to the next level.

Snack-type foods are great because they also can serve as a “side” to whatever else you’ve packed. My new favorite snack is pretzels dipped in Bellisari’s Harvest Ginger Peach spread. Personally, I really like those thin pretzel sticks, but any pretzel will taste delicious paired with our newest spread.

If you want to add more vegetables to the offerings, you can’t go wrong with veggie sticks and our award-winning Balsamic, Shallot & Black Garlic Spread mixed with sour cream and garlic salt. This super easy-to-make dip is a crowd pleaser and just might motivate folks to munch a little healthier and get more veggies into their diets.

Ingredients

16 oz. sour cream

2 Tbsp. Bellisari’s Balsamic Shallot & Black Garlic Spread

1 teaspoon garlic salt

Directions

In a bowl combine all ingredients until well blended. Chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour but preferably two hours or more and serve with fresh veggies or chips.

We at Bellisari’s wish all of you a wonderfully, tasty Spring Break!
