Our Apple, Fig & Gorgonzola Galette is perfect for a late Sunday Morning brunch with coffee or mimosas.
1 Pie Crust
1 Green Apple, sliced thin
1 Onion, sliced thin
9 ounces Gorgonzola
1 jar Bellisari’s Blistered Jalapeno & Fig Spread
2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
2 Teaspoons Water
In a medium pan on low/medium heat add olive oil and onions to pan. Slowly cook until they begin to turn golden and caramelize. Once caramelized remove from heat and let cool.
On a lined baking sheet roll out the pie dough. In the center of the dough leaving 2-3 inches empty begin to layer Bellisari’s Blistered Jalapeno & Fig Spread, Gorgonzola cheese & caramelized onions. In a circle on top of the layers lay the green apples.
Fold the edges of the pie crust up and inward towards the center but leaving majority of the filling exposed.
Make an egg wash with the egg and water by whisking them together & then brush the entire galette with the egg wash.
Bake at 350° F for 45 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the center is bubbly. Serve with petite salad & enjoy.
