1/2 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
1 T dijon mustard
1 t hot sauce
2 lbs New York strip steaks
1/2 jar Bellisari’s Blue Cheese, Honey & Shallot Spread
Combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, mustard and hot sauce in a large ziplock bag. Seal and shake until sugar dissolves. Add steak to the bag and marinate for at least 2 hours in the refrigerator making sure steak is sufficiently covered within the bag. Heat grill to medium and remove steak from the fridge and bring to room temperature before cooking. Cook the steak for approximately 6 minutes per side for medium rare. During the last two minutes of cooking, with a rubber spatula, smear a tablespoon of Bellisari’s Blue Cheese Honey and Shallot Spread on each steak and close the lid until the six minutes are up.
